The new Valentine’s Day staging

In the main cities of the world, it is customary, in the most iconic shopping locations, to recreate atmospheres and installations capable of attracting thousands of tourists and visitors who are increasingly looking for a shopping experience that goes beyond the simple economic-commercial exchange but that becomes, rather, a moment of sociality, emotion and happy memories.
It happens in the great shopping streets such as Carnaby Street, in London, or the Champs Elyséès, in Paris, or in the Olympus of shopping: who has never been enraptured by the enchantment of the windows of Saks in New York or by the fittings of mythical places such as Harrods in London or Galeries Lafayette in Paris?
Bologna is no exception, where the heart of luxury shopping is at its peak. Here, season after season, a recent, but already consolidated, tradition has been established that sees visitors being welcomed by ever new displays. No exception is the season dedicated to Love that finds its consecration on Valentine’s Day.
Starting this week, in fact, our spaces, to inspire lovers intrigued by the store windows, have been transformed into a romantic walk among lively heart-shaped balloons. What could be better than letting yourself be carried away by the emotions of your feelings?
St. Valentine’s Day, after all, is a holiday celebrated in most of the world that has its origins since the days of Ancient Rome, where it was customary to celebrate Lupercalia, in honor of the rural god Faun Luperco, bearer of fertility. The most romantic vision of the festival is instead more recent but always of religious root, this time Christian: the protagonist is precisely the Holy Valentine who gave a poor girl the necessary amount of money to bring as dowry, without which she could not marry the beloved spouse.
Hence the modern tradition of exchanging a gift to remind the loved one how important it is for us. Is there a more emblematic place than Galleria Cavour to choose a token of love and let yourself be carried away by the emotions of your heart? Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the new installations because Love should be celebrated all year round!
